I hate to launch my brand-new blog on such a down note, but I have to vent a little about what happened to me today. The Big Guy took me to the vet for my first vaccinations. The Girl Who Feeds Me, the Cute Girl With Bathroom Duty and the Skinny Cousin put me in a box and took me for a ride to the Eastside Animal Medical Center in Grayson.

The place is new and pretty nice, although it had a disgusting smell… like dog. In fact, I saw a couple of the nasty creatures there. I didn’t see another cat but, then, it was only 10:30 am… I was only awake because I had an appointment with pain.

The Woman in the Long White Coat was nice enough, although she poked and prodded me until I was a bit sore. They took me to another room to check my temperature, and I am not even going to tell you what happened then. Let’s just say that I wasn’t asked to put the thermometer under my tongue….

And if that wasn’t bad enough, the Woman in the Long White Coat stuck me with three injections, one in each leg. I didn’t flinch, not one bit. But I couldn’t walk straight for several hours.

I understand that I have to go through the same thing all over again in a month or so. I am not looking forward to that. The Big Guy also said something about getting me “fixed.”

I didn’t think that I was broken.
